Who we Are

SEDI is also a National Working Group Member, Climate Change Network Nigeria.

Sustainable Environment Development Initiative (SEDI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered in Nigeria and fills gaps created in the environment development sector promoting a people centered approach. It has its headquarters in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

SEDI is a volunteer involving organization and is NGO focal point coordinator for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Edo State.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Remove institutional constraints and build capacity
  2. Bridge gaps and support partners to meet critical resource needs
  3. Promote environment-poverty linkage Social empowerment through community development
  4. Increase advocacy about the urgency of a wholesome environment and citizen participation.

Provide comprehensive technical support to management of natural environmental resources.

A sustainable environment which meets present and future needs of humanity.

Our Mission

Provide a broad based approach to sustaining the natural and human environment in collaborative partnership with local and international agencies.

Organizational Structure

SEDI has a board of trustees which formulates policy which is implemented by a secretariat headed by an executive director. SEDI is a volunteer involving organization.
